Types of Private Dance Lessons Gay Ballroom Offers

Private Lessons for Individuals or Couples

If you are and individuals or couple, private lessons offer the best learning opportunity. In private lesson you get the full attention of your teacher, which allows him or her to personalize your learning experience - you choose what music and styles of dance that most interest you. In private lessons, your teacher is a collaborator with you, helping you discover your personal dance style and tastes so that you’re not just dancing steps out on the floor, but expressing who you are to the music that’s playing. We recommend taking dance lessons from a couple of different teachers at Gay Ballroom Chicago, so that you hear different perspectives from both leaders and followers.

Private Lessons Rates: each lesson ranges between $135 - $180, depending on the number of lessons purchased at a time. If you have any questions or need more information, please contact us.

Private Group Lessons

If you’re interested in learning to dance and also want to make it a social occasion - sharing the time with family and/or friends - private group classes are perfect for you. Private group classes work well if your group is interested in learning similar styles of dance or has similar tastes in music. Keep in mind that progress is usually slower than in regular private lessons, since you’ll share the attention of the instructor, but you can still expect to learn a lot. Depending on the size of the group, you may work with one or two instructors.

Rates: pricing depends on the size of the group and whether you schedule within our normal business hours. Please contact us for more information.
